Primarily affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, the hospital directs millions of research dollars into patient care and offers the latest innovations in medical, surgical and diagnostic techniques. The Methodist Hospital Residency in General Surgery is a five-year program that provides broad experience in general surgery and surgical basic sciences, as well as numerous surgical specialties. The program is well balanced with outstanding clinical training, didactic education and research opportunities. Our goal is to prepare you as a superb surgeon. We currently offer four categorical positions. Additional preliminary positions are available at the PGY1 and PGY2 years.
The Department of Surgery at The Methodist Hospital offers a fellowship in advanced minimally invasive surgery that offers training within the state-of-the-art Methodist Institute of Technology, Innovation and Education (MITIE).
