Methodist International offers unique, customized training programs for health care professionals designed to enhance their knowledge, skills and performance by learning with experts in the healthcare industry. Methodist International creates custom designed programs to meet the individual’s and organization’s learning objectives through a comprehensive curriculum. Clinical Training Programs include but are not limited to areas such as pharmacy, patient-centered nursing care and clinical leadership. Professional Training Programs have spanned diverse fields such as patient relations, facilities management, human resources, quality improvement and housekeeping services.
The International Leadership Experience And Development (iLEAD) program is an intensive and exclusive program through which leaders are engaged, informed and inspired. The iLEAD Program is individually customized for new managers to executives who wish to improve their productivity, performance, and personal leadership style. Over the course of five days, the participants will have the opportunity to refine their management and leadership acumen through in-depth courses and discussions with healthcare executives.
The Methodist Hospital offers a variety of didactic courses to healthcare professionals to disseminate the latest knowledge of clinical treatment and management strategies. Courses span a variety of topics including physician specialties, administration, allied health and nursing.
The Methodist Hospital is able to offer exceptional simulation training to physicians, nurses and allied health professionals through the Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation and Education (MITIESM) and the Center for Professional Excellence in Nursing Education, Research and Practice. MITIESM is a state-of-the-art comprehensive simulation center at The Methodist Hospital that is dedicated to procedural skills and the development of image-guided technology. MITIE’s bold and unique model comprises research and training facilities housed in one location with a virtual hospital, procedural training lab, research operating rooms, and telepresence room.
Over the past 10 years, the Observership Program has offered hundreds of health care professionals an opportunity to interact with the expert medical and professional teams at Methodist and observe the day-to-day experiences of a vibrant, leading academic medical center.
Through web technology, Methodist International provides international participants live interactive broadcasts of insightful presentations by physician, nurse, allied health, and administrative leaders. Qualifying participants are able to receive Continuing Medical Education credits, and all participants receive a certificate of participation.
Methodist International provides high-quality, multifaceted conferences in a variety of specialties and locations, delivering tailored educational conferences to participants for an enhanced learning experience. The conferences allow valuable knowledge transfer, professional development, and interaction with key hospital leaders. Conferences can include simulation training in the Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation and Education (MITIESM).
