MORTI FAQ

What if I forgot my username and/or password?

Contact The Methodist IT Helpdesk at 832-667-5600 or helpdesk@tmhs.org and ask them for your username or to reset your password.

Do I need a VPN token to login?

No. All you need is your TMH username and password.

How do I login to MORTI from outside the TMH network?

Please dowload our online instructions.

Why does my computer seem to hang up when I try to sign in from outside the TMH network?

You may need to install an ActiveX component. Click on the yellow bar located below the address bar to install the component.

If you do not see the yellow bar, contact your IT help desk (i.e.: TMH IT, BCM IT, UT IT, MD Anderson IT) and ask them for permission to install ActiveX components in Internet Explorer.

Is there a time limit of inactivity that will log me out of MORTI when on the TMH network?

Yes. The MORTI application will log you out automatically after 60 minutes of inactivity.

Why does MORTI require me to login multiple times when accessing it from outside the TMH network?

If you are accessing MORTI from outside the TMH network, you will be required to log back in every 60 minutes no matter the amount of activity you are performing or after 30 minutes of inactivity.

How can I get trained in MORTI?

Information on training options is available on the MORTI Training page.  Methodist Employees can register for MORTI training through the Methodist Learning Management System (LMS) at www.webinservice.com/methodist/.  Non-Methodist Employees can contact MORTITraining@tmhs.org

Will my account expire for MORTI?

Yes. If you are not a Methodist employee, your account will expire after 90 days and you will need to contact The Methodist IT Helpdesk at 832-667-5600 or helpdesk@tmhs.org to renew your account.

Why am I having problems uploading documents in MORTI?

The problem could be your Web browser. The recommended browsers are listed below.

If you are using one of the browsers mentioned above and are still continuing to experience problems with uploads, contact your IT help desk (i.e.: TMH IT, BCM IT, UT IT, MD Anderson IT).

I tried to create an Administrative Review Form - an ARAF - but after the first page the program displayed a screen saying I did not have permission to see this study. Why?

In order to continue past the first page, you must be on the study in some role. If you are not the Principal Investigator, but will continue to work on the submission, put your name in as the Primary Study Contact. If the ARAF is for a Funding Proposal, by default you will be the PI delegate on the grant application in MORTI and can continue to work on that proposal.
