Meng Zhong joined our group in December, 2010 and he is involved several research areas including in vitro and in vivo evaluation of biological functions of nanoparticles, peptides and new formulations of chemo agents; microRNA expression on Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) in human bladder cancer; delivery of non-coding RNAs (siRNAs) in bladder cancer cells using near infrared irradiated gold nanoparticles; conducted experiments on molecular nature of ion channels in sensory cells of the inner ear of mutant mouse and mechanism underlying NOS-2 inhibition by infection of mice with spiralis larvae.
