Moran Foundation Publication Awards in Clinical Research and Translational Research
The Methodist Hospital Research Institute is pleased to announce two awards sponsored by the Moran Foundation. Annually a $1,000 prize will be awarded for the best paper in clinical research published by a TMHRI member in the preceding year. Similarly, a $1,000 prize will be awarded for the best paper in translational research published in the previous year.
Submitted or “ In Press ” papers are not eligible. For papers published in 2009, any member of The Methodist Hospital Research Institute (or membership application in process) may submit a paper for which he or she has primary responsibility; except in unusual circumstances, the expectation is that the applicant will be the first author, last author, or corresponding author of the article. Either a hard copy or a PDF is acceptable and should be sent to Tricia Lydick, or call 713-441-1261 by 5 pm on Friday, January 29. Each physician/scientist may submit no more than one paper for each category. For publications to be considered, they must cite The Methodist Hospital Research Institute on the “From Line” of the article. A selection committee will evaluate all submissions and winners will be announced in March 2010.
