The Methodist Hospital George P. Noon, MD Award, established in 2009, honors a physician, individual, or organization who, through leadership, service, and lifelong commitment, has made significant and continuous contributions to the advancement of care in the field of cardiovascular diseases.
Criteria
In addition to the ICARE values of The Methodist Hospital, candidates should demonstrate the following principles and criteria:
- Excellence in clinical, research, or professional/philanthropic activities
- Contributions to the health of humanity and of the community through the alleviation of suffering and the preservation of life
- Demonstration of respect for human dignity and consideration of the individual needs of patients and families
- Commitment to the highest ideals of medicine and/or service to humanity
Selection
The Methodist Hospital George P. Noon, M.D. Award will be given by the Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center as determined by its Executive Committee.
To preserve the unique and special character of the George P. Noon, MD Award, the award is not given annually, but only as often as highly deserving candidates (individuals or organizations) are identified.
