Wayne Voss, Chief Executive Officer

Wayne Voss is a Senior Vice President with The Methodist Hospital System and CEO of Methodist West Houston Hospital.  The Methodist Hospital System consists of the flagship, The Methodist Hospital, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and San Jacinto Methodist Hospital.  A fifth hospital was completed in West Houston in 2010.  The Methodist Hospital System has been consistently recognized by Fortune Magazine’s “The 100 Best Companies to Work For” , making it the highest ranked healthcare organization in the country.

Mr. Voss is the lead executive over the development and operations of the new Methodist West Houston Hospital.  He has been with the system for five years.

Mr. Voss came to Methodist with over twenty-five years of executive operations experience in healthcare, with most of that in the Houston market.  He spent seventeen years with the Memorial Hermann System, a nine hospital system based in Houston.  Most recently at Memorial Hermann, he served for seven years as the CEO for Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, the third largest facility in that system.  In this role, he was responsible for overseeing two major facility expansions.  From 1994-1999, he served as the CEO of Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital and prior to 1994 was the COO of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital.  Prior to joining the Memorial Hermann System, Mr. Voss worked for AMI Park Plaza Hospital as Vice President of Operations and for York Plaza Hospital as Administrator. 

Mr. Voss received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master of Health Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Vicki Brownewell, Chief Nursing Officer

As Vice President of Operations, Vicki Brownewell is responsible for the financial, operational and clinical services provided by the Medicine, Oncology, Neuroscience, and Psychiatry inpatient units at The Methodist Hospital. She is also responsible for the Emergency Department, Skilled Nursing Facility, and regulatory compliance activities.

Prior to coming to Methodist, Ms. Brownewell served as Assistant Vice President, Patient Care Services at Hermann Hospital in Houston. As such, she provided executive oversight for orthopedic, trauma, burn, neurosurgery, neurology, surgical, medical, and post acute care nursing; and also rehabilitation, pulmonary care, and associated support services. Her background also includes maternal and neonatal health and she is a co–recipient of a U.S. patent for a low birth weight infant pacifier which is sold commercially.

Ms. Brownewell is ANCC certified in Advanced Nursing Administration. She is also a member of the American College of HealthCare Executives (ACHE) and participates in the mentorship program. She previously served on the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) Board. Vicki received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Arizona State University and a Master of Healthcare Management degree from Capella University.
