We believe that close collaboration between professionals in the various centers and departments at MWHH leads to better care coordination and patient safety.
Oncology services are a good example of the substantial benefits of the multidisciplinary patient care approach at MWHH. When a cancer diagnosis is suspected, teams of radiologists, oncologists, and surgeons are immediately in communication, sharing patient information using our electronic medical record and collaborating to leverage the latest technology for confirming the diagnosis and developing an individualized treatment plan. By solving the time and communication problems associated with physicians working independently or without a unified medical record system, MWHH is able to provide efficient and coordinated, multidisciplinary patient–centered care resulting in improved patient safety and satisfaction.
