Renee Khoury, Diplomatic Services Liaision
Renee joined Methodist International in 2004 as a Patient Liaison and transitioned to the Diplomatic Services Liaison to support the Director of Operations in working directly with Embassies and Consulates. Prior to joining Methodist, Renee worked with the Secretariat General of the Council of Arab Ministers for over a decade. Her educational activities have taken her to countries around the world including Jordan and Scotland, and she is fluent in Arabic.
Halima Mamo, Patient Liaison
Halima was born in Syria to a Jordanian family and raised in Egypt. She moved to Houston in 1984 and has also lived in Germany. Fluent in Arabic, Halima has been part of the International Services team at The Methodist Hospital since 2001. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Cairo University and has also completed training in medical terminology.
Laila Anakar, Patient Liaison
Born in Morocco, Laila is fluent in Arabic, French, and Spanish. She has worked in healthcare for over a decade and joined the International Services team at The Methodist Hospital in 1999. Laila holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Houston.
Rebeca Jewett, Patient Liaison
Rebeca has been a member of the Latin Team at Methodist International since 2004. She is originally from Mexico City and holds a B.S. in Hospitality Management from ‘Escuela Superior de Administración de Instituciones de Servicio’ (ESDAI) from Mexico City, Mexico. She has furthered developed her knowledge by taking extensive training in customer service, psychology, medical terminology, and writing.
Javier Paredes, Patient Liaison
Javier was born in Quito, Ecuador and moved to Houston in 2001. He is fluent in Spanish and has been a part of the International Services team since 2009. Javier holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from SEK University in Ecuador and has completed extensive training in customer service and hospitality.
Melissa Pena, Patient Liaison
Melissa was born and raised in Houston and is fluent in Spanish. She began volunteering in healthcare at age 14 and has been part of Methodist International Patient Services team since 2002. Melissa graduated with honors from The University of Houston with a Bachelor's degree in Communication.
Katherine Prueger, Patient Liaison
Katherine was born in Budapest, Hungary and was raised in Italy and Argentina. She moved to Houston in 1997 and is fluent in Hungarian, Italian, English, French and Spanish. She has been part of Methodist International since 2001. Katherine attended the Music Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Buenos Aires, Argentina and she has lived in many countries from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego.
Faten Ashrawi, Patient Liason
Faten has a Master’s Degree in Health and Hospital Administration from Loma Linda University in California. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Economics Bir Zeit University in Palestine. Fluent in Both English and Arabic Language and many years of experience in the health care field both in the Middle East and The United States. Faten has been with The Methodist Hospital Since March 2010.
Basel Salhoot, Patient Liason
Basel is a Palestinian and fluent in Arabic and English. He joined Methodist international in July, 2009 and has a degree in medicine from Moscow, Russia.
Mohamed Dawoud, Patient Liason
Mohamed is Egyptian born and raised in Egypt. Fuent in Arabic and English and has been with Methodist international since 2006. Mohamed has a medical degree from the college of medicine in Egypt.
