Salaries
Reviewed on July 1 of each year, 2012-2013 Salaries:
- 1st year residents — $50,135
- 2nd year residents — $51,840
- 3rd year residents — $53,856
Moving Allowance
Insurance
- Malpractice Insurance Provided
- Life and Disability insurance equal to three times annual base salary rounded to the nearest $1,000
- Health insurance (HMO or fee–for–service) available upon employment for resident and family with employee contribution Dental insurance available upon employment for resident and family with employee contribution
Book Allowance
- $150 will be provided during RI year
Conference Fund / CME
- 3 days + $500 for 1st year residents
- 5 days + $750 for 2nd & 3rd year residents
Dining and Parking
- Free food and parking provided at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital.
Lab Coats / Scrubs
Provided as follows:
- RI – Five monogrammed coats initially and free laundry, five sets of monogrammed scrubs
- RII – Two additional coats, two additional scrubs and free laundry
- RIII – Free laundry
Vacation
- 21 days per year
- Maternity, Paternity and Family leave available
Professional Organizations
- Memberships will be paid for TMA, AAFP, TAFP
Moonlighting
- Encouraged for its learning experience with proper licensure, insurance and approval of site
ACLS re–certification, ATLS certification for RI & RII, NRC, and ALSO Courses provided
