Doctor of Pharmacy Rotations

The Methodist Hospital (TMH) is a private, non profit teaching hospital located in the Texas Medical Center with an average census of about 900 patients. TMH Department of Pharmacy provides over 200 Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)rotations annually and has primary academic affiliations with the following pharmacy schools:

  • University of Texas
  • University of Houston
  • Texas Southern University
  • Texas A&M
  • University of The Incarnate Word
  • Lebanese American University 


Additional out of state affiliations also exist with: Hampton University, Creighton University, University of Florida, and University of Toledo

If a university is interested in establishing an affiliation agreement, they will need to contact us to start the process which can take several months.

If a student from a university with an established affiliation is interested in obtaining a rotation at TMH, they will need to obtain the appropriate paperwork from their school and have their school contact us about availability of rotations.

Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) rotation requests will be considered on an individual basis.
