About the Center
The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine has opened a state-of-the-art rehabilitation sports center with new, cutting-edge therapeutic technology to get athletes back to peak performance. The nearly 5000-square-foot facility is located at the Houston Amateur Sports Park (HASP).
What makes our Center unique?
The Center is a full-service physical therapy clinic, staffed only by certified physical and occupational therapists. Physicians from the Center also serve as team physicians for the Houston Dynamo, Houston Astros, Houston Texans and Rice Athletics. Our patients may also benefit from athletic training services offered on-site by Competitive Edge Sports (CES), known for its elite level sports performance training.
State-of-the-art equipment and technology
The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine at HASP offers elite care to bridge the gap between traditional therapy and restoring athletes to their pre-injury capabilities. We accomplish this through the use of state-of-the-art equipment:
- AlterG anti-gravity treadmill
- HydroWorx 1200 pool
- a 60-foot running track
- free weights and machine weights for strength and endurance training
- exam tables for manual therapy
- cardiovascular equipment
- a pitching lane
