Platform Foundations

Most medical advances occur at the interface of disciplines, rather than within departmental silos. The structure of the Research Institute is designed to create these interdisciplinary points of connection. The Research Institute has built research departments, programs and core facilities that provide platform technology support to clinical research programs throughout The Methodist Hospital System. This intentional blending of traditional departmental boundaries will foster innovative, collaborative research conducted by teams of scientists from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds to address several key areas of human disease.
