The Research Insitute supports research and education programs at Methodist by providing the platform technologies and research programs, administrative support, staff, and facilities that are needed to rapidly translate discoveries made in the laboratory and the clinic into new diagnostics, therapies and treatments.

Platform Foundation
Most medical advances occur at the interface of disciplines, rather than within departmental silos. The structure of TMHRI is designed to create these interdisciplinary points of connection. TMHRI has built research departments, programs and core facilities that provide platform technology support to clinical research programs throught The Methodist Hospital System. This intentional blending of traditional departmental boundaries will foster innovative, collaborative research conducted by teams of scientists from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds to address several key areas of human disease.
