Boys and Girls Country provides a warm, loving, family-like atmosphere where children have the opportunity to grow up safe and secure and develop to their full potential. Whether they spend a year or many years with us, we strongly support their academic, athletic, and social achievement, and provide training and counseling that respects the unique needs and family circumstances of each child. Each resident lives in a cottage with a set of trained teaching parents and attends public school. After high school graduation, young adults continue to receive support in the College and Career program through college or trade school until they are established in a stable first job.
We need individuals and groups to help in every aspect of our Home, from tutoring to office assistance to cooking meals, pulling weeds and painting cottages. We are in serious need of tutors during the summer and school year. Please call us at 281-351-4976 and ask for the Director of Volunteers and Special Groups for more information, or visit our website.
We are continually in need of financial and in-kind donations, including professional services such as medical and dental care. We always need grape jelly, picante sauce, paper products, and over-the-counter medications in our Commissary. We welcome donations of vehicles for our student drivers. Please visit our website for an updated list of our children's needs, or call us at 281-351-4976 and ask for the Director of Development to discuss other ways to give.
