Biography
John M. Buergler, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I. is an interventional cardiologist at the Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center at The Methodist Hospital. He is a leader in the field of alcohol septal ablation, a treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Dr. Buergler also has special interests in the management of cardiac disorders coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.
Dr. Buergler is active in the national scientific community. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, and the American Heart Association. He contributes to articles for national peer reviewed publications and makes presentations at medical conferences across Texas.
Dr. Buergler received his medical degree from the University of Chicago – Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Washington University School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine.
