Biography
Dr. Jerry Estep is an assistant professor and transplant cardiologist at the Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center at The Methodist Hospital in Houston. He has contributed to several published articles on heart failure and is undertaking original research in the field of advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed his residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, and completed his cardiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. He has received numerous awards, including “Most Outstanding Clinical Cardiology Fellow” from Baylor and “Most Outstanding Resident Instructor” from UT Southwestern. As part if the heart failure program, he is actively involved in several multicenter clinical trials to study novel treatments for patients with decompensated heart failure.
Dr. Estep is a member of The American Heart Association and International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation Association. He is also a fellow of The American College of Cardiology.
