Biography

Dr. Little, the medical director of the Valve Clinic with The Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center, has an active clinical practice as well as research interests focused on heart valve disease and diagnostic imaging, including 3D echocardiography.

He received his medical degree from McMaster University and completed post graduate training in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Western Ontario. He completed research fellowships in echocardiography at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology with board certification in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography. He is an associate professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.

He is an active member of the Heart Valve Society of America, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He has been honored with teaching and research awards and is an active speaker at national and international Cardiology meetings.
