Since its opening in 1998, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital has been growing and changing to meet the needs of Fort Bend and surrounding counties. Methodist Sugar Land Hospital continues to build on its services to provide Leading Medicine, close to home.
Impact on the economy
Methodist Sugar Land Hospital already plays a major role in the economy of Fort Bend County, providing jobs opportunities for the area’s highly educated populace.
Today, approximately 1,000 of the hospital’s 1,500 employees live in Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford or other Fort Bend communities. As the hospital continues to expand, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital plans to add jobs – many of them nursing, allied health, and professional positions.
