Cancer Screenings
Cancer screenings are helpful in catching cancer even before symptoms occur. It is important to catch cancer at its earliest stages, before the cancer has had time to grow or spread. Once symptoms appear, the cancer may have progressed and may be harder to treat.
Remember that when your physician suggests that you get a screening test, it does not always mean he or she thinks that you have cancer. Screening tests are performed before symptoms are present.
