Patients come from around the country and even across the globe to find hope and healing at the Texas Medical Center. Thanks to a partnership between The Methodist Hospital and Nora’s Life Gift Foundation, they’ll soon be able to find something else: a home.

Conveniently located near the Medical Center, Nora’s Home will offer accommodations for families who travel to Houston to receive transplants at local hospitals. Guests will have comfortable lodging and support services in a caring, home-like environment—where families are treated with dignity and compassion, regardless of their financial resources.

“We founded Nora’s Home to honor our daughter’s memory,” Gaber said. “Her unwavering care and concern for others was an inspiration to all who knew her, so establishing Nora’s Home is near and dear to my heart.”

Nora’s Home is named after Nora Gaber, the seven-year-old daughter of Methodist J.C. Walter Jr. Transplant Center Director Dr. Osama Gaber who passed away in 1997.
