Physical Design
Because we recognize that the healing process involves much more than the physical components of an illness, many features of our hospital's design address the mental and spiritual aspects that promote healing. As you walk into our facility, you may notice that our facility does not look, feel or smell like the typical hospital. This because we have specifically chosen colors to promote a soothing, calming response and have installed softer, gentler lighting. You may also notice the many rays of sunlight throughout the hospital. Every patient room boasts the healing properties of natural light, either from the atrium area or the outside perimeter. And every room is a private room, ensuring you the uninterrupted privacy you and your family deserve during the healing process.
Room Service
Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is committed to your comfort and your complete satisfaction with our food service. As part of this commitment, we provide a complete room service program with a restaurant-style menu. We offer a wide range of hot and cold breakfast items, along with lunch and dinner selections available for your afternoon and evening meals. This menu also reflects the particular dietary restrictions you may be under at your physician's request. Please invite your guests and family to visit our Café open Monday through Friday, 7 am – 7 pm in the North Pavilion.
Healing Gardens/Jogging Trail
In addition to our interior features to support healing, immediately outside the doors of the hospital on the north and south sides are our Healing Gardens. Here, specially chosen foliage offers a calm and peaceful setting, a key element for both you and your family during your recovery. We also feature a jogging/walking trail that surrounds the hospital, in the event friends or relatives need a stretch and a breath of fresh air. After all, they can be a key support to your healing process.
Pastoral Services
For your spiritual needs, a chaplain is available to you 24 hours a day. We also have a beautiful chapel located on the first floor on the south side of the atrium that is open 24 hours a day. As an extra service, Holy Communion can be brought to your room upon request.
