Dr. Aparajitha Verma is Director of the Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Program; Divisions of Neurophysiology and Sleep Disorders. Her primary clinical and research interests are in the management of patients with sleep disorders as well as electrodiagnostic medicine and intra-operative monitoring. She is committed to improving the awareness among public and medical personnel about the important role of sleep on general health, medical and neurological conditions. Dr. Verma received her medical degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, India. She completed two years of Internal Medicine residency at the Marshfield Clinic, Wisconsin and a residency in Neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She completed a year of fellowship in Sleep Medicine followed by a year of fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Texas Health Science center at Houston. Clinical Expertise:
Research Interests:Understanding the patho-physiology of sleep disorders and to develop methods for improving quality of life of patients and advance the awareness among public and the medical personnel regarding the importance of sleep on general health and its effect on medical and neurological conditions.
