In January 2011, DNV HealthCare inspected San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. The inspection was successful, and as a result, the hospital received a full 3 year accreditation from DNV. In addition to the full accreditation, DNV recognized San Jacinto Methodist Hospital as a certified Primary Stroke Center. DNV Healthcare uses quality-based surveys for its accreditation programs.

San Jacinto Methodist Hospital received full Cycle II accreditation with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC). The Society of Chest Pain Centers evaluates Chest Pain Centers across the nation to ensure that these centers meet or exceed quality-of-care measures based on improving the process for the care of the patient.

Cultivating Compassion with New Patient Care Program
To help lift patients´ spirits, San Jacinto Methodist Hospital recently implemented the Adventures in Caring program. Under the program, hospital employees volunteer to be the Raggedy Ann and Andy characters and visit with patients that are in need of friendly conversation.
