San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, Bowie Elementary Team Up for Teaching Garden
The staff and students at James Bowie Elementary joined a very select company of schools in the nation to be included in the American Heart Association's Teaching Garden program, which will provide hands-on learning experience rooted in offering students nutritional food choices. The garden is sponsored by San Jacinto Methodist Hospital.

San Jacinto Methodist has ranked among the top 5 percent in the nation for overall clinical excellence for the past 5 consecutive years (2008-2012), and is one of only five hospitals in Texas named by HealthGrades as among America's 100 Best.
San Jacinto Methodist Hospital Receives NAPBC Accreditation
San Jacinto Methodist Hospital's Women's Center has been granted a three-year full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. The hospital is one of only three in the Houston area to obtain this accreditation.
San Jacinto Methodist Hospital Receives Reaccreditation of Chest Pain Center
San Jacinto Methodist Hospital received full accreditation with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC). The Society of Chest Pain Centers evaluates chest pain centers across the nation to ensure that these centers meet or exceed quality-of-care measures based on improving the process for the care of the patient.
