- What: This group is a place for new moms to meet and socialize with other moms. It is hosted by a Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse, available to answer questions and provide guidance.

The birth of your child is one of the most significant events in your life. Our Birthing Center is a full-service childbirth facility providing prenatal care, labor, delivery, postpartum and neonatal care.

Finding an Obstetrician
Your obstetrician is an important partner in your pregnancy and birthing process. For assistance in choosing an obstetrician, find a physician online or call 713-790-3333. San Jacinto Methodist Hospital Physician Referral service is available to assist you in choosing an obstetrician who has privileges at this hospital. The referral service offers information such as office hours, education and background about the physician. Consult your insurance provider for covered physicians, hospitals and other services.
Finding a Pediatrician
A pediatrician is a physician who specializes in the care of infants and children. Some physicians may offer “new parent” consultation appointments prior to the birth of your new baby. Contact their office for information. Remember to choose a pediatrician that participates in your insurance plan. Your chosen pediatrician may or may not make hospital visits. San Jacinto Methodist and Texas Children’s Hospital have partnered to provide neonatologists to provide care for your infant while they are in the hospital.
