Biography

Dr. Fischer was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston following his residency and fellowship training. Dr. Fischer joined The Methodist Hospital Department of Surgery in 2005 and currently serves as Head, Section of Digestive and Pancreatic Surgical Oncology. He was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery, Weill Cornell Medical College in 2009. Dr. Fischer is an Assistant Member of TMHRI and conducts clinical research studies.

Description of Research

Dr. Fischer´s research interests focus on clinical studies to evaluate novel treatments for perioperative soft tissue bleeding.
