Research Interests: cell biology at the cellular and molecular level, mathematical and bioinformatic approaches in disease and drug research, computational systems biology.

Miriam Brandl received a B.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich in Germany and is currently enrolled as a PhD student at the University of New South Whales in Australia. Her current work focuses on the generation of highcontent cell images and the analysis of these data sets. The analytic approach including biomedical image processing and other bioinformatic tools helps to reveal the biological effects of different drugs on the cellular level and is an important step towards the development of effective drugs in cancer research.
