Cancer is the abnormal, continuous multiplying of cells. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer and develops on the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin). An estimated 1 million individuals are diagnosed with skin cancer every year. Skin cancer can develop as three different types: basil cell carcinoma (representing about 90% of all skin cancer developments), squamous cell carcinoma, and malignant melanoma (the most dangerous form of skin cancer). Through regular screenings, skin cancer can be easily treatable if caught in early stages of development.
