Family Medicine Residency Program - How To Apply

Our program accepts applications through the Electronic Residency service (ERAS) available through your medical school. Please contact your medical school or the American Association of Medical Colleges at 202-828-0400, for additional information. We do not review paper applications at this time. Our interview season begins in late September and we accept applications until the last week of January with interviews scheduled no later than the first week of February.

In order to be considered for an interview, an appicant for our program must :

  1. Submit a completed application through the ERAS system
  2. Be eligible for subsequent licensure in the state of Texas
  3. Apply within five (5) years of medical school graduation or last clinical practice
  4. If international graduate, have at least one (1) year of U.S. clinical experience
  5. Have no more than one (1) failure on the USMLE or COMLEX examinations
  6. No Visas are considered
