Clinical Interests:

Neuromuscular disorders, Neurodegenerative diseases: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease.

Research Interests:

Mechanisms of neuronal injury and death in ALS, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease. Cell lines as well as animal models are being used to define the pathways of cell injury and triggering factors such as autoimmunity. Increased intracellular calcium is one of the key constituents being studied.
