Your heart is one of your most vital organs, so it’s important to know that it is being treated with the best possible care. At Methodist, you can be assured that our vascular diagnostic lab employs highly trained registered sonographers. Our lab is nationally accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories, with with board certified physicians for each specialty. As a Center of Excellence, we have more than 30 years of experience and are staffed with cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons who are leading the fight against heart disease. Choose from one of three Heart Scan Packages.
Heart Scan - $200
- Calcium Score: Using a CT scanner, this tests for calcium build-up of plaque on the artery walls. It is used to detect coronary artery disease and if present, can determine the severity.
Vascular Screening - $250
- Carotid Artery Doppler Screening: Using ultrasound, this test takes a picture of blood vessels (arteries) to check for blockage.
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening: Using ultrasound, this test looks at the abdominal aorta and checks for thinning or ballooning either of which could suggest a potential rupture.
- Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Screening: Blood pressure cuffs are placed on the ankles to evaluate blood flow in the legs.
Heart Scan Plus - $400 (save $50)
- This is a combination package that includes the Heart Scan and the Vascular Screening.
