
The Neuro-Oncology Center is dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of patients with primary and secondary cancers affecting the brain and spinal cord. The center also treats the secondary effects of cancer on the nervous system, and the side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Patients referred to the Neuro-Oncology Center are treated by a multidisciplinary team of physicians that includes neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuro-oncologists, radiation oncologists, neurorehabilitation specialists and other expert clinicians.
The patient care philosophy of the Neuro-Oncology Center acknowledges the need for social, psychological and emotional care for patients and their families. The center encourages direct patient-physician interaction and informed decision making throughout the course of treatment.

The Neurological Institute hosts the NeuroCircle Brain Tumor Support Group, a monthly meeting for brain tumor patients and their families that offers educational lectures as well as the opportunity for patients to socialize and share their experiences.
